On the afternoon of April 24, to commemorate the 234th anniversary of the Polish May 3rd Constitution, the Embassy of Poland in China hosted the National Day Reception event. Pan Feng, Vice Chairman of the China-Europe Association for Technical and Economic Cooperation (CEATEC) and Chairman of the Europe-China Economic Cooperation and Development Council (ECECDC), attended the National Day reception. During the event, Pan held discussions with Lu Shaye, Special Representative of the Chinese Government for European Affairs, Jakub Kumoch, the Ambassador of Poland to China, Jorge Toledo Albiñana, Ambassador of the European Union to China, Michael Starbæk Christensen, Ambassador of Denmark to China; and Máté Pesti, Ambassador of Hungary to China, regarding the 4th Global Geographical Indications Products Expo, China-Europe Business Leaders and Former High Officials Dialogue, and the 8th China International Import Expo.
The Polish National Day, also known as the Three May Constitution Day, is on May 3rd. Its establishment can be dated back to the year 1791, when Poland adopted the first written constitution in Europe and the second in the world, the May Three Constitution, and thus established the parliamentary system and the principle of separation of powers.
